Whitehaven beach

In theory, if you were to visit one Australian beach every day, it would take you 29 years to visit them all. We have saved you the trouble to find the best, as Whitehaven Beach is regularly in the top 10 beaches in Australia and also in the world!

Condé Nast Traveler voted the Whitsundays Islands the 'Most Desirable' in Australia and the South Pacific. Whitsunday Islands beat out Bora Bora (second), Moorea (third) and Tahiti (four) in French Polynesia to be ranked the best island in Australia and the South Pacific, while Fiji took fifth spot.

So what are you waiting for?

Whitehaven Beach Australia

Whitehaven Beach is situated on the Eastern side of Whitsunday Island, and stretches for 7 kilometers in length. The Northern end is where we have the famous Hill Inlet Lookout over the swirling sands, whilst the Southern end is a typical anchorage for day and overnight guests to explore.

There are three lookout platforms at the Northern end and one at the Southern end, each are relatively easy walks through the bush, with steps and signage along the way.

Don't forget to have a fully charged camera, plenty of water and a big smile ready for your new profile picture!
